JAY — A lobster benefit for 2-year-old Joshua McIntosh, who has rhabdomyosarcoma, will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, at the VFW Post 3335, 64 Jewell St., Route 133.
Dinner will be at 5 p.m., with DJ and dancing to follow. Tickets for adults are $12 and include one lobster with sides. Additional lobsters are $5. Children 5-12 are $5, children under 5, free. Other food will be offered for those who don’t want lobster.
Funds raised will enable Joshua to celebrate his remaining months with his Nana and Papa, Heidi Barker and Stewart McIntosh of Leeds, with trips to amusement parks and attractions whenever health permits. Barker, a longtime L.L. Bean employee, has been able to transfer to Portland to be near Josh. McIntosh has been unable to continuing working while caring for Josh.
