In July, 25 students from the Longley Elementary School summer Read-A-Lot program visited the Community Credit Union on Pine Street in Lewiston for a tour and to participate in a money-county game. Credidt Union employees donated 40 water bottles and $300 in cash to support the summer program, which is designed to reinforce the reading, writing and math skills learned in kindergarten at Longley School.
