DIXFIELD — Dirigo High School is hosting Homecoming Week this week. The theme is “Music Genres” and the floats, banners, school song competitions and dress-up days follow that theme.

The parade and bonfire will start at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20.

Seniors will showcase rock ‘n roll; juniors, country; sophomores, hip hop; and freshmen, disco 1. Dress up days will include Monday, country; Tuesday, reggae; Wednesday, disco; Thursday, classics/music legends; and Friday, class color day.

Class banner-making will continue through homecoming week and will be displayed with the floats during the parade. Judging will take place on Friday. Float-building will also continue through the week.

A Penny Drive will be held and competitions will begin at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21. A Pep Rally will start the events.

Activities will include a soccer tournament, mixed doubles tennis, skateboard competition, an academic challenge and ping pong, along with other games on the field hockey field.
