SANFORD (AP) — Police said a 48-year-old Maine man has died following a single-vehicle accident in Sanford.

The Sanford Police Department said a car driven by Robie Robinson left Route 4 shortly after 8 a.m. on Monday and came to a rest several feet off the road.

Officials said Robinson died at the scene. Police are investigating.
