MINOT — Terry and Joyce Gortmaker of Valley City, N.D., are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Chantal Gortmaker of Aberdeen, S.D., to Craig Major of Aberdeen, S.D., son of Claudia and Dan Mercier of Minot and Robert and Darlene Major of Pace, Fla.

Miss Gortmaker is employed at Farmer’s Insurance Group and Big Fella’s Bar and Grill.

Mr. Major is employed at Dakota Supply Group and C-Express in Aberdeen, S.D.

The wedding will be held on Oct. 6 in Columbia, S.D.
