The South’s Republican Party voting record has an extreme bias against President Obama. Historically, it is interesting how the southern states were largely Democratic until the equal rights voting legislation was enacted in the 1960s. Racists made special efforts to be against blacks. Their fathers and grandfathers also had no trouble being against black women. There is still a stigma against a black man being married to a white women.

Coming from Kentucky, I am particularly ashamed of Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., stating in 2008 how he was planning to get Obama out of office in 2012. Such negativity.

There needs to be major changes in Washington. It is no wonder why Sen. Olympia Snowe is getting out. She must be sick of the Republican Party’s passivity — rejecting any cooperation or compromise.
