Toy ride Sunday
MEXICO — The Band of Gypsies has announced October events.
A toy ride will take place on Sunday, Oct. 7, with a rain date of Sunday, Oct. 14. Members will meet at 10 a.m. at the Mexico Gazebo behind the Mexico Town Office. The ride will go to Errol, N.H., and back down through Rangeley to the home of Ed and Shelley Bronish for a barbecue. Members are asked to bring a toy.
The Band Of Gypsies will join Envision Rumford’s debut Pumpkin Fest on Saturday, Oct. 20, in Downtown Rumford. Members will have a table set up by The Hotel Rumford at 65 Canal St., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., accepting donations “For the Kids.” There will also be a raffle table, and the winning tickets will be drawn at 4.
Members will have small tokens of appreciation in the form of “Sweets/Desserts” for those who offer a donation.
A toll booth will be set up from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, in Dixfield.
