Many libertarians refuse to support Mitt Romney based on their moral abhorrence of compromise. But, it is a compromise to vote for a candidate with no statistical chance of winning.

Maine’s 2nd District could decide the fate of this nation. This is a case where “making a stand” will be the worst compromise possible. President Obama will be the compromise between getting their values enforced immediately, and voting for Romney. The result will be the total sacrifice of their fundamental values.

The libertarian front in this nation is young, in many ways. They want everything, now.

We must learn from tactics that work; from the progressive left. Obama and the Democrat left are progressives. Progressives have understood, since Teddy Roosevelt that, over time, fundamental transformation is possible through a progression of compromises.

This is accomplished by passing legislation at every level using a concise ideology. They never compromise their values, only legislation meant for compromise. This strategy produced a base of far left progressives running a government-centric nation. At this point a vote to any “conservative” is a vote in the right direction.

If Romney is elected we have four years to fortify our hold on the Republican Party. We must let reason, not emotion, guide our votes.

By promoting the ideals of liberty and capitalism, consistently and without ideological compromise, we will build, for the first time in history, a truly free republic.

If, on the other hand, Obama is re-elected, there will not be a country to rebuild.
