FARMINGTON — Deborah Bea “Tru” Walsh, 54, of New Sharon, died Friday, Oct. 5, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 16, 1957, in Mt. Kisco, N.Y., the daughter of James E. and Lillian C. (Winfield) Walsh. She was a graduate of John Jay High School in Katonah, N.Y., Class of 1975. She moved to Maine in 1977, and gave birth to her daughter in 1980.
From 1980 to 1999, she held several positions from banking to baking and all were done with her love for life. In 1999, she started her career at ICT Group, (now known as Sykes) where she worked her way from an outbound call center rep to the operations manager. She was active at Fitness Stylz in Livermore Falls, where her daughter, Stephanie taught.
Deb enjoyed gardening, tending her bird feeders in her back yard, road trips, spending time with family, friends and her work family at Sykes, whom she loved. Music was a major part of her life from young adulthood and she played her ovation guitar once a week with a group of special friends.
Deb is survived by her significant other, Gary Nightingale, whom she met in the fall of 1995; her daughter, Stephanie Freeman of Livermore Falls; her mother, Lillian Walsh of Danbury, Conn.; two sisters, Gail McPhee and her husband, Bob, of Wilton, Conn., and Joanne D’Antonio and her husband, Mike, of Bethel, Conn.; her brother, Jeffrey Walsh and his wife, Donna, of Connecticut.; brother-in-law, Randy Nightingale and his wife, Annie, of New Sharon; sister-in-law, Lynn Nightingale and Lynn’s daughter, Emily, of Rome; nieces and nephews, Sean, Nicole, Riley, Emily and Brenna; and her dog, Jack and granddog, Max.
She was predeceased by her father, James; and her in-laws, Leslie and Dixie Nightingale.
