BRIDGTON — The following events will take place around town this fall.
A Halloween teen dance will take place from 9 p.m. to midnight Friday, Oct. 26, at the Bridgton Town Hall. There will be music, lights, clouds and video by DJ Mitchell Lisowski. Admission is $3; food and beverages available. A costume contest with prizes will be held. For information call 647-3116.
Landmark Human Resources and Bridgton Community Center will sponsor a haunted house from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26 and 27, at the Bridgton Ice Rink, behind Bridgton Town Hall. Cost is $3, or $5 for both the dance and haunted house. Event may not be appropriate for very young children. For information call 647-3116.
The annual children’s Halloween party will be held by Bridgton Rec Department at Bridgton Town Hall, Wednesday, Oct. 31. For information call Tom Tash, 647-8786.
A Veterans Day lunch for all veterans and their families will take place at noon Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Masonic Hall, Route 117. Sponsored by the Bridgton Community Center. For information call Lorraine at 647-3116.
The 10th annual Festival of Lights candlelight walk will be held Saturday, Dec. 1. A parade with the theme “Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow” will take place 5:30 p.m. Parade ends at Bridgton Community Center for the lighting of the BCC tree with singing and music, followed by a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Bridgton Community Center with crafts and snacks. Operation Christmas Angel will be hosted by the Bridgton Fire Department. The Tree of Stars will be at the Bridgton Community Center before Thanksgiving; pick out some stars, buy the gift, return gifts to the center unwrapped and the Bridgton Fire Department will wrap and deliver Christmas day.
