AUGUSTA (AP) — A one-week wild turkey hunting season using a shotgun starts Saturday in parts of Maine.
State officials say one wild turkey of either sex and any age per permit-holder is allowed.
Shotguns are allowed in wildlife management districts 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, and 26. Only archery is allowed in other wildlife management districts.
