In August, I had the pleasure of observing and meeting Margaret Craven at a program she presented at SeniorsPlus on the topic of how a bill is written. As she described the process, I was impressed with her approachability as she encouraged and respectfully replied to all questions.
A few weeks later, I attended the confirmation hearings in Augusta. Again, I was impressed with her knowledge and thoughtful considerations as she submitted her votes. Her deep commitment to the folks of Lewiston and, indeed, Maine was apparent to all.
As a 40-year resident of Maine, a 12-year volunteer for hospice and a passionate member of the Health and Human Services Committee, I believe that no one will harder for the wonderful people of District 16.
