PORTLAND — The Portland Symphony Orchestra will present its second annual Halloween-themed Discovery concert on Sunday, Oct. 28, at Merrill Auditorium.
Dancers from Portland Ballet will be on hand to shake a spooky groove.
Guests are encouraged to dress in costume and arrive early for preshow festivities starting at 1 p.m. Highlights include a costume contest, games, a chance to learn the zombie dance moves of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and a hands-on instrument petting zoo.
The family-friendly event at 2:30 p.m. is geared to children of all ages, especially 5 to12.

PSO Discovery concerts are an hour long and engage the audience in a fun and educational journey with the full orchestra. The next Discovery concert will be Carnival of the Animals on Sunday, May 19.
