Comedy show, dinner canceled
RUMFORD — The American Legion Mexican dinner and comedy show planned for Saturday, Oct. 27, has been canceled.
AARP chapter to meet Oct. 29
PARIS — The Oxford Hills Chapter of AARP will meet on Monday, Oct. 29, at the First Congregational Church on East Main Street, South Paris. Dinner will be served at noon and will include beef stroganoff with noodles, vegetables and dessert. The cost is $6.50 and reservations are required by calling Ruth at 744-9069 by Friday, Oct. 26.
The business meeting will begin at 1 p.m. Program to be announced.
Chicken pie supper Oct. 27
RUMFORD — On Saturday, Oct. 27, the Rumford United Methodist Church will have a chicken pie supper at the chapel on Linnell Street.
There will be one sitting at 5 p.m. and in addition to the chicken pie, the meal will consist of mashed potatoes, gravy, homemade rolls, vegetable, cranberry sauce and a choice of chocolate or lemon delight dessert. Masons holding hunters breakfast
MEXICO — The annual hunters breakfast will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at King Hiram Masonic Lodge on Route 2.
Menu consists of home fries, beans, eggs, bacon, sausage, Texas toast, orange juice and coffee. The cost will be $5 for adults and $3 for youths. Takeouts are available. For more information call 597-2955.
