It is election time. One of the things that bothers me most is that all the politicians say that they want to reduce the deficits, but when I watch the news, they are getting millions in donations.

I think about the millions of dollars, throughout the U.S., being donated; then I think about paying taxes (inheritance tax, lottery tax, etc.).

If politicians really want to help reduce the deficit, they should look into taxing those political donations. That, in my eyes, would make them sincere.

They should put their money where their mouths are. The public is biting the bullet, it is time the politicians take a bite, also.

They should mean what they say and help reduce the deficit.
