CEBSPORTS Youth Basketball League
WATERVILLE — The CEBSPORTS will have an coaches informational meeting on Nov. 11 at 4 p.m, at the Alfond Youth Center in Waterville .
This league has been established for the last 25 years, providing the opportunity for both girls and boys teams at the 7th & 8th grade to play competeive basketball for ten weeks during the winter. Games are played home and away on sundays starting in November and ending in February. if you have a interest in playing in the league please attend the meeting, league rules, schedules, conflicts, thoughts and ideas are shared for the season. Girls Basketball Clinics
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Rec. Department will be holding free basketball clinics for 5th-8th grade girls on Monday, Oct. 22, Wednesday, Oct. 24, Monday, Oct. 29, and Friday, Nov. 2nd from 5:30 pm.-7 p.m. at the Rec. Department. Open gym and leagues at Winthrop YMCA
Beginning on November 4th the Winthrop Area YMCA will begin another year of Open Gym. The program will again be held at the Winthrop Grade and the schedule will be as follows: 12:00-2:00 — Women’s Basketball and Firefighters Basketball; 2:00-3:00 — Grade School Age Open Gym; 3:00-5:00 — Open Gym for everyone; 5:00-7:00 — Over 30 Men’s Basketball.
There is no cost for the program, you can call 377-9686 to see if there are changes because of weather.
Also, Winthrop Area YMCA will begin another year of Youth Basketball. This year we are making some changes to our Youth Basketball, adding in Travel Basketball for older age groups. The opening weekend for Grades 3-4 and 5-6 will be on Saturday, Nov. 10; Grades 5-6 Boys, 8:15-9:45 at the Winthrop Middle School; Grades 5-6 Girls, 9:45-11:45 at the Winthrop Middle School; Grades 3-4 Girls, 8:30-10:00 at the Winthrop Grade School; Grades 3-4 Boys, 10:00-11:30 at the Winthrop Grade School; Opening Weekend for Grades Pre K, K, 1, and 2 will be on Sunday, Nov. 2 at Winthrop Grade School; Grades 1-2 Boys and Girls, 12:30-1:30; Grades Pre-K and K 1:30-2:30.
