Halloween at the YMCA
LEWISTON — The Auburn-Lewiston YMCA will host a Halloween event from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 62 Turner St. The event is free and for all ages. Preregistration required, call 795-4095.
The Y is planning an evening of creepy games, trick or treat bag decorating and icky treats sure to please costumed participants. There will be a dance party, a costume contest and a haunted house. Watch out for flying bats, crawling spiders and buckets of worms.
A Family Swim will be held from from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Guests are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food donation to help families who are in need this holiday season.

Senior Citizens lunch, meeting
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens’ Thanksgiving luncheon and meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at the Green Ladle, East Avenue.
The luncheon buffet consists of roast turkey and gravy with corn bread stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables, cranberry sauce, cole slaw, rolls and butter, coffee, tea and dessert.
The cost for members is $10 per person; nonmembers $12.
Sign up by Oct. 29 at the Senior Center, 65 Central Ave., from 8 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday.

Chamber music at Hebron Academy
HEBRON — Hebron Academy will present an evening of premier chamber music at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, during the Cohen Concert series, at the Hebron Academy’s Lepage Center for the Arts, 309 Paris Road.
The concert series brings world class classical musicians to the Hebron campus to perform for students and the public for free. The first of three in this school year’s series will feature elite instrumentalists Jan Muller-Szeraws on the cello and Adam Golka on the piano.
Auburn Art Club meets Nov. 5
AUBURN — The Auburn Art Club will meet at the Park Avenue United Methodist Church on Monday, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m. The speaker will be Lynne Lockwood, director of the Auburn Public Library. She will discuss the future plans for the library, using a PowerPoint presentation for illustration.
Carol Seward is chairman of the committee for this meeting and will be assisted by Lorraine Desjardin, Benita Flynn and Fern Desjardin. All members are encouraged to attend.
Relay For Life planning starts
LEWISTON — Relay For Life Androscoggin County is embarking on a new year of activities and fundraising. New volunteers are encouraged to attend the next meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Kaplan University Room 5.
Discipline for children
LEWISTON — “1, 2, 3 Magic,” a program to provide parents and educators with practical, easy-to-use discipline techniques for ages 2 to 12, will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 15, and Monday, Nov. 19, at Advocates for Children, 57 Birch St.

Holly Fair, chowder luncheon
GRAY — The First Congregational Church of Gray will hold its annual Holly Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17. This year’s fair will feature a huge variety of handcrafted items, fresh evergreen creations, home-baked treats, locally roasted coffee, world-class Cabot cheddar cheese and a newly expanded White Elephant sale with beautiful antique and collector pieces.
The day will also feature a lunch of chowders and sandwiches, a great selection of goods and services at the Promise Tree silent auction and the Cookie Trail.
