PORTLAND (AP) — Maine’s utilities continue to make progress in restoring power following a glancing blow by Sandy.
Central Maine Power reported Wednesday afternoon that 11,000 customers were still in the dark, and that service would be restored to all customers by late Wednesday.
Bangor Hydro Electric Co. had only a handful of power outages.
Central Maine Power and Bangor Hydro are both considering whether to send crews out of the state to assist with restoration efforts elsewhere once their work is done in Maine.
