VFW holding barbecue supper
AUBURN — The Men’s Auxiliary of VFW Post 1603 will hold a public beef barbecue supper from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at 588 Minot Ave. The cost is $7.
Bridge Club winners named
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners at the Lewiston Armory on Nov. 5 were as follows: first, Dick Allen and Pete Cummings; second, Jan Arey and Linda Leotsakos; third, Cynthia and Bill Clifford; fourth, Ellie and George Wigton; first in B, Cynthia and Bill Clifford; second, Ellie and George Wigton.
The club celebrated Sue Kaluzynski’s 95th birthday. Sue drives from Monmouth and she has been a regular bridge player on Mondays and Tuesdays for many years.
Winners on Nov. 6 were: first, Patricia Garcia and David Lock; second, Luke Merry and Mike Quinn; third/fourth tie, Anna Vitiello and Rosemarie Goodwin with Mike True and Paul Sherman.
Games are played every Monday and Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. No game will be played on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 12.
Jesus Party to honor vets
LEWISTON — The Jesus Party will honor the men and woman who have served in the armed forces at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at 291 Bates St. The ministry will commemorate service members who have given their life to preserve freedom.

Universalist Church craft fair
GREENE — “A Snowflake Fantasy” annual craft fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Universalist Church of Greene on Route 202. There will be baked goods, gift baskets, a white elephant table, crafts, raffle items, a hat and mitten tree and swags.
The Sunday School members will be selling some crafts, baked goods, hot chocolate and hot cider to benefit Heifer International.
