MEXICO — The Police Department responded to 42 complaints over the past week.
Among the complaints were the following:
* A Swett Avenue resident reported at 12:50 a.m. Nov. 16 that sometime between 6 p.m. and midnight someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole her wallet that contained credit cards and personal property. There are no suspects.
* An Osgood Avenue resident reported at 1:07 p.m. Nov. 15 that his laptop was stolen from his residence. The laptop was valued at $500. Police have suspects.
* At 12:30 p.m. Nov. 15, a resident reported to police they drove away from the Baptist church off Roxbury Road with a bank bag filled with an undisclosed amount of cash and checks left on the top of their car. When they pulled over to see if the bag was still on top of the car, they found it missing. Lt. Roy Hodsdon said if someone finds it, it should be returned immediately.
* An Oak Street resident reported at 4:42 p.m. Nov 12 that sometime in the previous week someone stole the faceplate off the stereo in her vehicle, along with a sleeve of CDs. The faceplate was valued at $200, while the CDs amounted to a $50 value. There are no suspects.
* At 8:16 a.m. Nov. 11, Lt. Hodsdon reported that a dump truck belonging to a construction contractor doing work on Alder Street in Mexico had 150 gallons of diesel fuel siphoned from it. The contractor said he parked the vehicle off Main Street on Nov. 9, and when he returned two days later the fuel was gone. Based on the current price of diesel fuel, Lt. Hodsdon estimated the value of the missing fuel at $618. Hodsdon also said there are no suspects, but residents in the area should speak up if they’ve seen anything suspicious.
* A Roxbury Road resident reported at 12:09 p.m. Nov. 9 that someone stole personal property from her mailbox. Police have suspects.
* A Whitman Street resident reported at 6:25 a.m. Nov 9 that their poodle was stolen from their lawn. Hodsdon said that with the aid of the town’s animal control officer, police were able to track the dog to a female, who brought the dog to the humane shelter in Auburn.
