Landowner appreciation
OXFORD — The Rock-O-Dundee riders snowmobile club will hold a landowner dinner at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at the Anderson Staples Legion Hall. Letters have been sent to landowners; however, anyone who was missed may call 539-2322.
The dinner will be pork loin with all the fixings. There will be a ventriloquist for entertainment and a couple short speakers.
The club appreciates all that landowners throughout the state do for the sport. Approximately 95 percent of trails are on privately owned land.
NFB offers scholarship
STATEWIDE — To recognize achievement by blind students, the National Federation of the Blind invites applications to the national scholarship program from freshmen beginning college this fall on up through grad school level. Thirty top students will receive scholarships from $3,000 to $12,000 along with a trip to the national convention in Orlando in July.
