- Maine auctioneer and appraiser Jody McMorrow recently spoke to the Hebron Historical Society on his business, how he got into it and how it has developed. He explained how and why auctions are held and how the auction value of items change over time. He gave advice on what to expect when sending an item or house full of items to auction and his opinion of the merits of online auctions. Members brought items for him to appraise and enjoyed his detailing of the factors affecting the value of the items. At the next meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 27, the program will be a three-part informational presentation on Medicare, Social Security and wills. Doug Cooper of Norway will discuss the Medicare portion. The program will follow a short business meeting at 7 p.m. at the Hebron town office. The public is invited.
