In the Christian community, people are asked to pray for the success of government officials that they would lead the public in a way that everyone has a life of peace and happiness. But what can people do when that is not the result?

The Bible does have a solution for this. After Christ died, the Apostles were told to teach the doctrine that Christ gave them, and they did. However, a man named Saul did not believe that Christ was the Messiah, so he went around arresting those believers to be turned over to the church authorities to be terminated. But God put a stop to that. God appeared to Saul, rendered him blind for three days and told him the truth about who he truly was. That turned Saul around to believing in Christ and he couldn’t wait to tell the world of his encounter.

I believe a similar encounter could happen to President Obama. Like Saul, Obama is known, not only in this country, but all over the world. Also, the president started his life believing in Christ, attending a Christian Church, but he has changed. His power is so great and he clearly uses it in very uncomfortable ways for some, if not all, of the people he serves.

We cannot change him, but God can. So, all Christians should ask for God’s intervention in a manner similar to Saul’s.
