LEWISTON — The MS Christmas party and potluck supper will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the Lepage Conference Center, 99 Campus Ave. There will be a Chinese auction as usual. To participate, bring a wrapped gift valued between $5 and $10. The morning group is also invited.
French sing-along at D’Youville
LEWISTON — The University of Southern Maine’s Franco-American Collection is bringing its French sing-along program to the D’Youville Pavilion at St. Mary’s Health Center on Thursday, Dec. 13, for an hour of festive songs starting at 2:30 p.m. The session will take place in the chapel on the top floor of the facility, at 102 Campus Ave.
Lyrics to all songs will be provided, so fluency in French is not required. The event is free and open to all. Traditional French Christmas carols and other holiday music will be featured.
“This month’s event is sure to be special,” said collection coordinator James Myall. “The chapel at D’Youville is a wonderful venue, and we are very grateful to St. Mary’s for allowing us to use it. We performed here last year, and it really evoked the spirit of Christmas.”
