FARMINGTON — Flora June Brisbin, 94, passed away Dec. 18, at Orchard Park Rehabilitation and Living Center.

She was born in Farmington, Dec. 9, 1918, the daughter of Scott L. and Bertha J. (Hawes) Butterfield. When she was a year old the family moved to Temple. She attended the Red School House on Temple Intervale. Flora June loved music and took vocal and piano lessons and was part of the Kitchen Band. She lived most of her life in Temple and worked at the old Franklin Memorial Hospital and for Farmington Shoe Co.

On March 29, 1947, she married Frank R. Brisbin, who passed away on Sept. 20, 1996. Flora June tried to carry on the homestead until age caught up with her and she had to sell it.

On Nov 1, 2003, she moved into an apartment in Farmington. She was a member of the Temple Grange and the Temple Historical Society.

Flora June is survived by five nieces, Elaine Millett, Evelyn Wilkerson, Sharon Bailey, Lorraine Dudley and Dorothey Ibarguen; and her dear friend, Gail Karkos.

She was predeceased by her husband; three sisters, Minnie Bailey, Jennie Hutchinson and May Allen; and a brother, Scott Butterfield Jr.
