- The Mechanic Falls, Minot and Poland Tri-Town Optimist Club has announced its November RSU 16 Student of the Month recipient, Jacob Bernard. Jacob, a sixth grader at Poland Community School, was described as “an example to emulate” in his school community. He is helpful, creative, inventive and can be counted on to consistently go above and beyond expectations.
