MEXICO — The Police Department received 42 complaints over the past week.

* A Peru resident reported at 6:38 p.m. Dec. 25 that he was assaulted at 1:30 a.m. by a man at Tommy Guns Pitstop on Roxbury Road. The Peru resident reported he had seizures as a result of the assault. Upon investigating, police discovered lacerations on his head, ears and back. Police had a suspect.

* A Leavitt Street resident reported at 3:21 p.m. Dec. 23 that a pair of skis fell from their truck somewhere between Leavitt Street and Black Mountain. Lt. Roy Hodsdon asked that anyone who finds them to bring them to the Police Department.

Accidents

* At 1:15 a.m. Dec. 26, the Police Department found pieces of a vehicle near a guardrail on River Road near Naples Packing Company, indicating extensive damage to the front end. Lt. Roy Hodsdon was attempting to identify the person or persons involved.

Thefts

* A Chase Avenue resident reported at 10:03 p.m. Dec. 22 that somebody smashed out a window in their vehicle. Nothing was reported stolen. Police had no suspect.

* A Poplar Hill resident reported at 2 a.m. Dec. 20 that someone tried to break into her car while it was parked on the side of Poplar Hill. The car alarm went off, which police say likely caused the suspect to run away before anything was taken. There was no damage to the car and police had no suspects.
