- Franklin Savings Bank donated $4,000 over the past few years to the Kingfield POPS to underwrite the cost of youth tickets to the POPS, and the music organization recently thanked the bank formally. Above, Donald Tranten, president of the Kingfield POPS, presents a framed poster to Peter Judkins, president of Franklin Savings Bank. Because of the donation, all youths ages 17 and under are admitted free to the POPS. Free tickets are distributed to Franklin County students at Mount Blue, Mt. Abram, Carrabec and Rangeley school systems, as well as day cares, preschools, nursery schools, home-schoolers, libraries, tourism offices and motels.
