State Police say the bodies of two people have been found inside a house at 17 Sokokis Road in Biddeford following a standoff with police late Saturday night. A man was taken into custody just before 10 pm after talking with police negotiators. The dead, a man and a woman, remain unidentified. A second woman was earlier taken to the hospital from the house with a gunshot wound. A young child had been removed from the house earlier in the evening and was not injured.
The State Police Tactical Team and negotiators responded to the scene at the request of Biddeford Police. The man taken into custody was taken to the Biddeford Police Department for questioning. State Police detectives arrived at the house shortly afterward to begin their investigation.
