OXFORD — A Paris woman was injured Monday night when her car left Allen Hill road and flipped over, narrowly missing a telephone pole and an apple tree.
Virginia Goodwin, 52, was trapped in her 2013 Nissan Altima when responders arrived, Oxford police Lt. Michael Ward said Tuesday.
He said responders had to extricate her from the car.
“It was totaled,” he said.
Goodwin was flown to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. Ward said he spoke to her Tuesday and she told him she was treated for pain but suffered no major injuries.
The crash was reported at 10:10 p.m. Oxford and Paris police responded, as well as Oxford Fire/Rescue, the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office and the Paris Fire Department. Russell’s Towing hauled the car away.
Ward said speed was a factor in the accident. The crash is still under investigation by Sgt. Rickie Jack of the Oxford Police Department.
