BRIDGTON/FRYEBURG — IRS trained and certified AARP tax-aid specialists will begin service at the Bridgton Community Center, 15 Depot St., on Friday, Feb. 1, and will continue every Friday through April 5. Appointments may be made at 647-3116.
This service is also available at the Fryeburg Library, 515 Main St., Fryeburg, on Mondays beginning Feb. 4 through April 8. Call 935-2731 for an appointment.
People using this private and confidential free tax service are required to bring to their appointment a valid photo ID for taxpayer and spouse, social security cards for themselves and any dependents and a copy of their 2011 tax return.
Also bring any tax-related forms or statements you have received from employers, Social Security Administration, pension providers, interest and dividends received from banks and/or investment firms, any other income documents you believe to be relevant and any receipts or summary of deductions to which you believe you are entitled.
Preparation of your income tax returns is a free service and is sponsored jointly by Internal Revenue Service and the AARP Foundation.
