FARMINGTON — Timothy Ricky White, 56, of Avon, died on Jan. 13, at Edgewood Rehab and Living Center, following a long illness.

He was born in Farmington, Oct. 24, 1956, the son of Beric and Priscilla (Merrill) White. He was educated in the schools of Phillips and graduated from Mt. Abram High School, Class of 1976.

He was employed at Kingfield Wood for many years and later at Fletchers Mill in West Farmington, where he retired due to ill health. He was a member of the Blue Mountain Lodge 67 AF&AM in Phillips. He was active in Scouting all of his life. In 1985, he reorganized Boy Scout Troop 500 in Strong and served as leader. He attended two national and many local Scouting jamborees. Tim was selected as the Honored Person for Old Home Days one year and for many years he helped at the chicken barbecue.

He enjoyed reading comic books and listening to music, especially Neil Diamond. His favorite food was fiddleheads, which many of his friends would bring to him each spring.

He is survived by his mother, Priscilla White of Avon; his brother, Mark White of Avon; his sisters, Rose Carver of Nevada, and Tammie Cline of Greenfield Township; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Beric; and his twin sister, Jean.

The family would like to thank the staff, nurses and aids at Edgewood Living Center, Umbagog/Wilton Dialysis Center and CMMC.
