Sunday morning at Poland Regional High School there were 29 young ladies, ages 4-20, competing in a Beauty Walk and Interview session for the Winter Wonderland Confidence Pageant. The celebrity guest judge was Amanda Gagnon, Poland’s own Miss Teen Maine. Divisional winners, 2013 Wonderland Queens, were Bella Ricard of Mechanic Falls, Sadie Kyllonen of Mechanic Falls, Amber Shelley of Minot, Emma Christakis of Gorham, and Stacie Oakes of Rumford. The first impression award went to Oracle Stoner of Mechanic Falls.
The Maine Majorettes baton competition followed. In the Twirl Team contest, first place for high school team went to PRHS’s Medieval Majorettes. First place high school trio went to Mountain Valley Majorettes. Twirl Girls Stars won first place in the juvenile division, and Oxford Hills Twisters won the primary age group.
