MEXICO — The Mexico Police Department responded to 20 incidents over the last week. Among them are the following:

* A truck that was reported stolen on Jan. 20 by a Chase Avenue resident was found on Rollins Ridge Road in Dixfield by Mexico Lt. Roy Hodsdon and Dixfield officer Dustin M. Broughton at 4:20 p.m. Jan. 25. 

According to Hodsdon, the police have issued a warrant for the suspect’s arrest; he will be charged with theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Accidents

* At 10:14 p.m. Jan. 23, Jeromy Lapointe, 30, of Mexico was turning left from River Street onto Water Street when his blue Ford SUV began sliding out of control. The SUV hit a hard-packed snowbank, rolled over it and landed in the field adjacent to Water Street.

According to police, Lapointe’s car was moving too fast for the road conditions. The vehicle was totaled, but nobody was injured.
