CHESTERVILLE — Four candidates are seeking two three-year positions and one candidate seeks a one-year term on the Board of Selectmen during the annual March election.

Changing from a three-member to five-member board means two three-year positions, including the seat of incumbent David Archer, will be on the ballot, Town Clerk Pat Gordon said.

Archer is seeking re-election for his seat. Other candidates who have returned nomination papers for the three-year terms include Josefa Hanson, Nicole Ibarguen and Craig Stickney.

Maitland Lord Jr. was the only one to return papers for the one-year position.

Voters will also choose an RSU 9 director. Wanda Soule is seeking re-election and is challenged for the seat by Ross Clair, Gordon said.

Election hours are extended this year. Voting will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, March 11, at the Town Office.  The annual town meeting begins there at 7 p.m.
