JAY — A second person has been charged in a case involving the theft of 21 guns and other items from a Walker Hill Road home Jan. 27, 2012.
Heather Gatcomb, 34, was issued a court summons Friday charging her with receiving stolen firearms, Jay police Chief Larry White Sr. said.
She is expected to appear in Franklin County Superior Court in Farmington on April 3.
During the investigation, police obtained a search warrant for Gatcomb’s residence at 7 Pleasant Drive, Jay. The 21 stolen firearms were recovered and Roger Briscoe, 33, was arrested there on a charge of felony possession of stolen firearms. He has since been convicted in federal court and is serving 27 months in federal prison, White said.
During the investigation, led by Jay police Detective Richard Caton and Cpl. Jeff Fournier, a stolen chain saw was found in Gatcomb’s truck.
