EUSTIS — Residents have no contested school or municipal races to vote on Friday, but there are three openings on the Planning Board that no one took out papers for, Deputy Town Clerk Lori LeMont said.
The elections are from 4 to 8 p.m. March 1 in the meeting room at the Town Office. The annual town meeting will reconvene at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 2, at the Community Building.
Selectman John Caldwell is seeking another three-year term on the Board of Selectmen. SAD 58 Director Sara Strunk is running for another three-year term on the SAD 58 Board of Directors. Debra Bushmann is running unopposed for a three-year term on the Planning Board.
The three openings on the Planning Board that no one took out papers for are three-year terms, LeMont said.
On Saturday, voters will have 24 articles to contend with.
Both LeMont and assessor Sandra Scribner said they don’t believe there are any hot button items on the warrant.
Some accounts show increases; others reflect decreases.
The Transfer Station line is up $33,460 to $184,000 mostly due to the station’s compactor breaking in January. It had to be replaced, Scribner said.
The insurance line in Article 14 shows an increase of $25,000 to $74,000 because two insurance lines were combined into one, she said.
Voters will also be asked if they will authorize selectmen to enter into a three-year plowing contract.
