WEST PARIS — A Paris man was injured Thursday morning when his truck was sideswiped by another on Route 26.
Samuel George, 33, was transported to Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway for complaints of neck and back pain after his 2001 Ford F-150 rolled onto its side, according to Trooper Jon Russell of the Maine State Police.
Russell said the crash occurred at 6:30 a.m. as George was driving south and Adam Silver, 41, of West Paris was driving north. Silver blacked out due to a medical condition and drifted over the centerline, sideswiping George’s truck, he said.
George, who was towing a trailer, lost control and his truck rolled onto the driver’s side. Rescuers cut the windshield posts to get him out and prevent further injury, Russell said. He was transported by Tri-Town Rescue to Stephens Memorial Hospital.
Silver, who was driving a 2006 GMC 1500 pickup, wasn’t injured.
There were no passengers in either truck.
