Sermon topic: ‘Fig Trees’
PARIS — The First Universalist Church on Pine Street welcomes Anita White as their guest speaker on Sunday, March 17. White’s sermon topic for the 10 a.m. worship service is “Fig Trees.”
Music is under the direction of Donna Hurd and Sunday School is under the direction of Renee Wales. Coffee, fellowship and good conversation will follow the service. All are welcome and childcare is available. The First Universalist Church is wheelchair accessible.
Community Easter egg hunt
PARIS — A community Easter egg hunt for toddlers to teens will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the First Congregational Church, 17 East Main St.
Children will hunt for eggs in age appropriate groups. This is a candy-free egg hunt. Every child will receive a participation gift. Snacks, beverages and secular as well as religious crafts are available for all ages. Weather permitting a raw egg toss for tweens to teens will take place outdoors. Snow date is April 30.
The egg hunt is sponsored by the First Congregational Church Sunday School and Youth Group staff. Any child, regardless of faith, is encouraged to join in the fun. Basket bingo benefits pets
NORWAY — Responsible Pet Care Longaberger Bingo will take place Sunday, March 24, at Norway Legion Hall, Main Street. Doors open 11 a.m., bingo starts 12:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for 16 games regular bingo. There will be coverall games, raffle baskets and a 50/50 raffle.

Underground Railroad is topic
HEBRON — The Underground Railroad will be the topic discussed Tuesday, March 26, at the Hebron Town Office.
Connie Benwitz of Minot will present local connections to the Hebron Historical Society at 7 p.m. She will detail how quilts were used as signals in this 19th century challenge. The public is invited.
Cafe Project seeks planners
BRIDGTON — The Cafe Project at Bridgton Community Center is looking for a few great folks to get this started. Imagine a cafe where musicians, poets, writers and performers can get some stage time in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
