AUBURN — Theresa Bell, 79, of Minot, passed away on Saturday, March 16, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, surrounded by her loving family.
Theresa was born in Lewiston, Feb. 10, 1934, a daughter of the late William and Jeannette (Emond) Gagnon. On Nov. 24, 1951, she married the love of her life, Roland Bell in Lewiston at St. Peter’s Church. Together they worked very hard and raised their family in the Lewiston-Auburn area. Roland passed away in 1981.
Theresa was a dedicated homemaker and also worked at various jobs including as housekeeper and prep cook at Clover Manor. She was a former member of St. Louis Parish and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards every weekend, especially Cribbage and Canasta, with her brother, Hank and his wife, Donna and sister, Jeannine and brother-in-law, Oscar, spending summers at the family camp in Livermore, her cats and especially the very precious time she spent with her grandchildren.
Theresa is survived by her five children, William Bell and wife, Linda, of Minot, Diane Mitchell and husband, Phil Jr., of Minot, Daniel Bell and wife, Victoria, of Mechanic Falls, Timothy Bell and wife, Amanda, of Livermore and Nancy Bell and fiance, Tony Morin, of Poland; a brother, Henry Gagnon of New Gloucester; a sister, Jeannine Pinard of Auburn; 11 grandchildren, Scott, Julie, Toby, Todd, Danyelle, Joshua, Ashley, Matthew, Kayden, Taylor and Brittney; as well as 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Roland Bell; brothers, Maurice and Robert Gagnon; and a sister, Yvette Gagne.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff at the Androscoggin Hospice House for the wonderful care they gave Theresa during her stay there. We miss and love you very much.
