NORWAY — A Wednesday night fire that destroyed a mobile home was under investigation Thursday, according to Jim Tibbetts of the Norway Fire Department.
Tibbetts said Lem Locke was renting the home at 778 Waterford Road from owners who live out of state.
Tibbetts said the trailer “was a total loss,” but that Locke escaped the fire safely.
Tibbetts said he didn’t know whether the owners had insurance, or whether Locke, who Tibbetts said is believed to have lived alone, had renter’s insurance.
The fire broke out before 9 p.m. Wednesday. The home near the Waterford town line.
