RUMFORD — The River Valley Healthy Community Coalition will host a Worksite Wellness Roundtable from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 28. The storm date is the same time Friday, March 29.

The venue is the Community Room at the Oxford Federal Credit Union at 225 River Road in Mexico.

The coalition will share updates on healthy work site initiatives it is involved with this year.

“This is a chance to hear the latest wellness ideas, the science behind them and share concerns or challenges work sites may face,” Carol Emery of the coalition said Thursday afternoon in a news report.

“It is also a chance for work sites to ask questions, share any successes and challenges they may be encountering while creating a healthier workplace.”

The featured speaker is Phil DiRusso, a work site health specialist with the Cardiovascular Health Program at the Maine Center for Disease Control in Augusta.

A healthy light lunch will be served. Emery asks that participants RSVP her by Tuesday, March 26, at 364-7408 or rvhcc@gwi.net.
