Polar Plunge date is moved
ROXBURY — The annual Polar Plunge that was scheduled for March 24 has been pushed out to 1 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at the third beach at Roxbury Pond, due to the fact that there is no open water at this time.
Anyone interested in sponsoring a plunger or being in the Polar Plunge may contact Tracy at 364-6172 for a pledge sheet. Spectators are welcome. The top fundraiser wins a $100 gift card.
Homemade doughnuts, snacks and hot drinks will be on sale. All money raised goes to Relay For Life of River Valley team, Abbie’s Avengers.
Dixfield Alumni are planning banquet
DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Alumni Committee is starting to prepare for the annual alumni banquet to be held June 22.
There are currently 500 members. Anyone who attended the Dixfield school system is invited to join (Dixfield High, Dixfield Regional, Dirigo, SAD 21 or RSU 10).
Membership dues are $10 a year. They are used for scholarships for the current graduating class. For more information, call Charlene Farrell at 364-2489.
