RUMFORD — Five people have taken out papers to run for municipal office, Town Clerk Beth Bellegarde said Wednesday.
Up for grabs are three-year terms for:
* Two selectmen positions.
* One Board of Assessors seat.
* One RSU 10 school board position.
The terms of Selectmen Brad Adley and Jeremy Volkernick expire in June. Those who have taken out papers for the two positions are Adley, former Selectman Frank DiConzo, Eric Giroux, Linden Clarke Jr. and Christopher Brennick.
Linda French’s term on the Assessors Board is expiring, as well as DiConzo’s school board position. Last month, selectmen appointed DiConzo to fill a vacancy on the school board.
Bellegarde said papers can still be taken out for the positions that will be filled at the June 11 election. Papers cannot be submitted until Friday, April 12, and no later than Friday, April 26.
