LEWISTON — A recent graduate of the Central Maine Medical Center College of Nursing and Health Professions Nuclear Medicine Technology Program has achieved the top percentile in a professional certification examination.

Shawna Nowinski-Healy of Gray, who graduated from the program late last year, earned a pass with highest distinction and the 100th percentile in her Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board exam.

The national exam certifies nuclear medicine program graduates, allowing them to work as nuclear medicine technologists. The agency notifies program directors of how their graduates perform in comparison to average nationally scaled scores. Nowinski-Healy scored the top average grade for the United States for 2012.

PORTLAND — Norman Jack, son of Julie Jack and Randy Wallace of Buckfield, has been placed on the dean’s list for the Westbrook College of Health Professions at the University of New England.

Jack is a 2009 graduate of Buckfield High School. He is a major in nursing and a minor in psychology. His hobbies include ice fishing, hunting, raising and showing registered Chianina beef cattle at the local and state fairs. Jack also enjoys helping at the family greenhouse during the spring and summer.

This is the third consecutive semester that Jack has been placed on the dean’s list while attending UNE.

BOSTON — Cassidy Beaudoin Delcourt was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Northeastern University.

She is the daughter of Dee and Dan Beaudoin of Lewiston.

Her grandparents are Robert and Jeannine Lambert of Lewiston, and Joanne Beaudoin of Lewiston.

Cassidy will be graduating from Northeastern University on May 3 with a degree in psychology and attending graduate school in September.

BANGOR — Those behind the scenes at the Bangor Auditorium made history when they helped broadcast the last high school basketball games to ever take place inside the “Mecca” which is being replaced by the new Cross Insurance Center next year.

For the last five years, NESCom students, many who are studying audio engineering, video production, sports journalism and live sound technology have assisted MPBN with transmitting the games.

A total of 15 students and six faculty members volunteered to help MPBN broadcast this year’s match-ups. The following local students participated: Brandon Denison of Harrison and Jacob Staples of Farmington.

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — The Skidmore College Athletics Department inducted 106 student-athletes into the college’s Thoroughbred Honor Society in a Feb. 11 ceremony on campus.

Timothy Brodsky, the son of Ken and Jane Brodsky of Auburn, was among those inducted.

The society recognizes varsity student-athletes who have achieved a grade point average of 3.67 or higher during the previous semester.

BIDDEFORD — Sarah K. Mynahan has been named to the dean’s list for the 2012 fall semester at the University of New England.

A 2008 graduate of Greely High School, Mynahan also graduated this fall with a Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene.

She is the daughter of Gary and Lisa Mynahan of Cumberland and granddaughter of Rena Mynahan and the late John L. Mynahan of Lisbon.
