WEST PARIS — First Universalist Church of West Paris will hold the following worship services in April. All are welcome to attend; services are 9 a.m. every Sunday until mid-June. A coffee hour follows the service.
April 7, “The Lost Character Trait – Integrity,” led by Pam Burke, worship service committee member. This service is also new member Sunday.
April 14, “Not Without My Sisters and Brothers.” Universalist founding father Hosea Ballou wrote his Treatise on Atonement in 1805. Even after more than 200 years insights for today’s messy world can be found in this greatest of Universalist theological masterpieces. Led by The Rev. Fayre Stephenson.
April 21, “Sacred Cow,” led by The Reverend Jennifer Wixson.
April 28, “Making Our Gardens Grow.” Author Anne Lamott says that the garden is one of the two great metaphors that describe life. If our own lives are our metaphorical gardens, how are we doing as gardeners? This service will be a reflection on cultivating gardens and life, and is led by The Rev. Stephenson.
