LEEDS — The Leeds Historical Society will hold its third neighborhood conversation from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at the Leeds Community Church, 123 Church Hill Road.

Previous conversations have featured the southern and western parts of town, and now community members are invited to turn north and share their memories and stories of living in North Leeds.

Do you remember when there was a road commissioner for the north end of town as well as one for the south? Do you remember when the Post Office was in Rose and Pratt’s store, rather than in Leeds Center? Where did you shop, and how did you get there? Do you remember Joe Libby’s Dance Hall? Were your folks involved with the Grange? For many Leeds kids, picking eggs at DeCosters was their first job. Did you work there or on one of the other farms?

Share memories with the group. Past “conversations” have been great fun, and this promises to be equally entertaining.

People are encouraged to bring photographs and other memorabilia to share during the program. The programs are free and open to anyone, no matter what part of town they called home. Light refreshments will be served.
