SNYDER, Texas — Joseph “Jojo” Bernard Beggs, 30, of Carthage, died unexpectedly early Tuesday, April 8, in Texas.
Joseph was born in Farmington, June 10, 1982, son of Alice McKay Barnett and Bernard Frank Beggs. He was educated in Dixfield schools and achieved a journeyman lineman certification at age 22. He belonged to IBEW Local 104.
‘Jojo’ had a zest for life and excitement. Living for the moment, riding his Harley and being a lineman, suspended in midair. Joseph grew up in the woods and learned early on how to start every gas powered implement that had a pull cord. He belonged in a PIT crew because he could change a tire- charge a battery and jump start junk cars in under a minute. Joe would cry to the “Old Yella” movie.
Joe was so in love with his baby girl, Shailey.
He is survived by his daughter, Shailey Ann Beggs; his girlfriend, Sara Martin and her brother, Robert Heikkinen, of Dixfield; his mother, Alice Barnett and stepfather, Troy Barnett, of Carthage; his sisters, Rebecca Barnett and Kelly Barnett; nieces, Kylee Rae Dow, Crista Deburra, Skylar Williams and Amanda Beggs; his brother, Dean Beggs and his fiancee, Bethany Monroe, both of Fitz William, N.H.; his sister, Abby Beggs and Grammy Cilla of Dixfield; and Jojo’s extended family, Laura Haines Pepin and Nelson Pepin of Dixfield.
