WILTON — A Chesterville man faces charges after police received several calls about him walking down the middle of Route 2 at Burgess Hill early Monday morning, Wilton police Chief Heidi Wilcox said.
Caleb Hupper, 23, was arrested on charges of a probation violation and refusing to submit to arrest.
He was intoxicated and in violation of his probation. Callers reported him walking down the center of the busy highway about 6 a.m. Monday, she said.
When police arrived, he resisted arrest. No one was hurt, but the officer charged him, she added.
