PARIS — On March 15 eight Oxford Hills Technical School students competed in the SkillsUSA State Conference held in Bangor. Of those eight, three received medals, including a gold.
Carly Sauro received the gold medal in advertising design and will represent the state in June at the National Conference in Kansas City, Mo.
Connor Gordon and Sam Donatelli competed in technical computer applications, with Sam earning silver. Connor Heaward was awarded the bronze medal in collision repair technology.
The following also represented OHTS: Sholie Hanscom, culinary arts; Abigail Bangs, commercial baking; Jake Allen, collision refinishing technology; and Cody Timberlake, carpentry.
The OHTS Chapter of SkillsUSA will hold a ticket auction from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School to help raise money for the trip to Kansas City. SAD17 Adult Education, OHTS technical programs and local businesses have all donated.
